What is The Apothecary Bar?
We bring a beautifully dressed portable stall to your event — think vintage apothecary cabinet meets enchanted herbalist's cottage. Guests are invited to step up, browse our curated selection of dried botanicals and small crystals, and assemble their very own spell jar to take home.
Every jar is unique. Every jar is personal. And every jar leaves with a decorative wax seal applied on-site, making it a keepsake as beautiful as the occasion it came from.
All products are labelled for decorative and ritual use only. Not for consumption.
Step by step
How the experience unfolds
Guests browse the stall
Your guests are welcomed to the stall by our host, who guides them through the selection with warmth and a little storytelling. The stall itself is dressed to delight — vintage jars, dried botanical bundles, crystal clusters, and handwritten labels that make the whole thing feel like stepping into a secret shop.

Choose your herbs
Each guest selects from our pre-packaged selection of dried botanicals. We typically offer six to eight varieties — including lavender for calm, rosemary for remembrance, chamomile for peace, and rose petals for love. Each herb comes with a small card describing its traditional intention.

Select your crystals
Alongside the herbs, guests choose one or two small crystals from our collection. Rose quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, and citrine are among our favourites — each with its own meaning and energy. Guests are encouraged to choose what calls to them, not what they think they should pick.

Assemble your jar
With their chosen herbs and crystals gathered, guests layer everything into a beautiful glass jar. Our host is on hand to help, suggest combinations, and share a little of the folklore behind each ingredient. It's tactile, creative, and genuinely joyful.

Receive your wax seal
The finishing touch. Each completed jar is brought to our host, who applies a decorative wax seal on-site — pressing a beautiful stamp into warm wax to close the jar. It's the moment that transforms a lovely activity into something truly special. Guests love watching it happen.

What to expect on the day
Setup & pack-down
We arrive ahead of your event to dress and set up the stall — typically 60–90 minutes before guests arrive. Pack-down is quiet and efficient, so we're out of your way before the evening ends.
How long does it take?
Each guest typically spends 5–10 minutes at the stall. For events of up to 150 guests, we recommend a 2–3 hour window to allow everyone to take part at their own pace.
Space requirements
The stall requires a footprint of approximately 2m × 1m, plus a small area for guests to gather. We can work indoors or outdoors, and we'll discuss the best placement with your venue in advance.
Guest capacity
We comfortably serve up to 100–150 guests per event. For larger events, please get in touch to discuss options — we may be able to accommodate with additional planning.
